Water and Sewer Fee

Did you know? One water main break can cost between $75,000 and $200,000 to repair!

Since 2020, a portion of your monthly water and sewer fees has been set aside in a Future Replacement Fund. This fund helps the County save for major repairs or upgrades to the water and sewer systems in both hamlets.

As of October 2025, the fund has:
💧 $289,016.48 for water
💧 $225,841.62 for sewer

Having this fund helps avoid sudden large costs or unexpected tax increases. These amounts have been built up over time, and no withdrawals have been made.

Electricity and Natural Gas

Woodlands County does not set electricity or gas rates for County residents. Prices for these utilities are set by your chosen retail services provider. To learn about how those bills are calculated, please visit the Alberta Utilities Commission website.

Visit the Utilities Consumer Advocate website to compare electricity and gas prices in your area, view historical rates, or get help resolving water and energy utility-related issues.
