ABOUT US

Welcome to the Fort Assiniboine Fire Department page. Our Fire Hall is located at #33 Thomson Road in the Hamlet of Fort Assiniboine. We have a total of 17 members at this time that include a Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Training Officer, Fire Prevention Officer, and Medical Officer. Our Department recently moved into a new Fire Hall in January 2006, and we are equipped with a Pumper, Tanker, 4x4 Pick-up, ATV and Equipment Vehicle.

• August 18, 2007 - Awarded the Municipal Affairs Emergency Services medal - presented by Ernie Polsom, Assistant Fire Commissioner
• August 21, 2004 - Awarded the Municipal Affairs Emergency Services medal - presented by Reeve Doug Borg on behalf of the Honorable Ken Kowalski at the Hamlet Hoedown
• August 20, 2003 - Awarded the Fire Service Exemplary Service Medal of Canada - presented by the Lt. Governor of Alberta, the Honorable Lois Hole at the Provincial Museum
• August 16, 2003 - Awarded the Municipal Affairs Emergency Services medal - presented by the Honorable Ken Kowalski
